Developed using a breakthrough, one-of-a-kind extraction process, the

• Beta-Phenylethylamine (ß-PEA), Phenylethylamine Malate (PEA Malate),
Dl-Phenylalanine: ß-PEA is a neurotransmitter found in trace amounts in the
brain. Research shows ß-PEA has the ability to produce locomotor-stimulation,
creating an intensely positive mood. Though ingestion of ß-PEA has been proven
effective at improving mood, it only lasts for seconds because the compound is
immediately broken down by an enzyme called monoamine oxidase-B (MAO-B). This
quick enzymatic reaction inhibits an accumulation of higher concentrations of
ß-PEA. It’s for this exact reason that BSN’s® research and development team
formulated the ATRO-EFX™ proprietary blend. By using an exact ratio of
Beta-Phenylethylamine (ß-PEA), Phenylethylamine Malate (PEA Malate) and
Dl-Phenylalanine, the MAO-B barrier has been regulated. Furthermore, the desired
end-result of a sustained-release mood enhancer has been solidified through the
addition of naturally-occurring resources and co-factors like Hordenine and
Bioperine, which are designed to enhance the absorption of other nutraceuticals
and regulate the enzymatic activity of MAO-B, creating ATRO-PHEX’S™

The exact mechanism of action is as follows: ß-PEA is responsible for
your initial wave of stimulation, being immediately catabolized by available
MAO-B. This reaction is followed by the conversion of PEA Malate (an analogue of
ß-PEA attached to Malic Acid), into ß-PEA, which then follows the same fate as
its raw counterpart. The additional malic acid compound is utilized for
increased protection from the destructive MAO-B enzyme, allowing for a more
moderate release. Dl-Phenylalanine, the last compound in this stimulation triad,
is found naturally in the body and acts as a precursor to ß-PEA. Owing to the
time required to convert DL-Phenylalanine to ß-PEA, there is a delay in the
demonstration of its effect, which further lengthens the time-release component,

Methylxanthines: This group of nootropic compounds act as competitive inhibitors
of adenosine, causing an increase in the concentration of dopamine in the brain.
As a result, methylxanthines function primarily as stimulants, helping to reduce
fatigue and to restore alertness by acting on the central nervous system. They
are specific to enhancing both physical and mental performance. They also may
inhibit the phosphodiesterase enzyme thus enhancing lipolysis.

stimulants. Naringin predominately functions as an antioxidant and a cytochrome
p450 inhibitor thus eliminating harmful free radicals and prolonging the
activity of various ingredients found in ATRO-EFX™.
• Citrus Aurantium 30%: Aids in fat loss and acts as an appetite
suppressant. Citrus Aurantium also contains Synephrine, a stimulant that helps

• Yohimbe HCL: Originally derived from the African tree Corynanthe
Johimbe, this compound adds a thermogenic edge to the ATRO-EFX™ formula by
